Bristol Guitar Lessons For Children
I have taught guitar to various children over the past ten years, and generally find that age ten is the youngest point at which a child can realistically start learning. This is because the first few months can be quite demanding in terms of concentration and also physically (it can prove quite difficult to effectively press your fingers down on the guitar strings for the first couple of months of learning).
I enjoy working with younger people, and currently have five nephews and a niece all living in Frampton Cotterell, who will no doubt be lining up for guitar lessons when they are a little bit older! I want my students to enjoy their guitar lessons, so I create an environment that is good fun, but also clearly focused on their specific areas of musical interest.
|As with adult guitar lessons, I offer a free first guitar lesson to all younger students, and if you, as a parent, wish to sit in on the first couple of lessons, that is no problem.
The CRB background check has recently been replaced by the Basic Disclosure Document, so here is a copy of my Basic Disclosure, which shows that I have no criminal convictions and am therefore eligible to work with young people - Bristol Guitar Teacher - Basic Disclosure.
