An experienced guitar teacher who has been working as a professional guitar player in Bristol for over ten years.
About Me - The Bristol Guitar Teacher
I had a strong interest in music when I was young, and started to learn the guitar when I was 12 years old. I joined my first band when I was at school in Winterbourne, Bristol, and continued to play with other musicians and perform live when I went away to University.
When I came back to the Bristol area after Uni, my cousin and I decided to have a go at setting up a professional band so that we could become full time musicians and earn a living from music. The band we set up was called the Moon Loungers, and over time we became a professional wedding band, performing at over 60 weddings a year (to date I have performed at over 600 weddings in and around the Bristol area).
My cousin Steve and I used money from the success of the Moon Loungers to build a recording studio in my garden, at my property in Frampton Cotterell. Having a dedicated space for recording has enabled us to put together a number of albums, which have acquired modest success on iTunes and in particular Spotify, where we receive around 2000 streams a day.
Alongside our work as recording artists, we also film videos regularly for our ever expanding YouTube audience (the Moon Loungers' videos receive around 3000 views a day on YouTube).
Whilst I have been involved in the various projects mentioned above, I also teach regularly, with some of my younger students going on to perform live and study music at college and university level.
